News from Tualatin

Morgan and Aaron's new baby was born Thursday morning, May 8th, just before noon.  His name is Theodore (Theo) Bricker Kunze.  Weight: 8 pounds, 4 ounces
Length: 20.75 inches. (Pix attached.)

Dads "room in" with moms, so Mum and Pum got to stay with Ben from Wednesday p.m. til Theo and his folks came home from the hospital Saturday afternoon.  We had a great time ... Ben is a pleasure to be with.  We went to see "Sesame Street Live - Elmo Grows Up" Saturday morning; over the course of three days we learned a new meaning for the word "tired."  We have always respected Morgan's efforts, but I must admit to a deeper understanding as well as an appreciation for nature's plan about having children well before age 60.

Mom and Theo are doing fine, and after having Sunday off, so are we.  Saturday was also Morgan's birthday, and of course Sunday was Mothers' Day, so it has been a very busy time.  We are planning to go up to Seattle (Sultan, WA, actually) to visit my nephew and his family - Brian and Kim McCullough and their daughter Anya.  Anya's having a unicycle pageant Saturday which sounds fun.  Aaron's taking a couple of weeks off of work, giving the Kunze family a chance to groove in with the new partner, so it's a great opportunity for us to get out of their hair.

It has been just beautiful here for the last several weeks - alternately cool and warm, sunny and sprinkly.  It has been a pleasure to be here for a little longer spell (we're in the middle of a four-month stay instead of the usual two months) and enjoy our new home and our extended family.

Love you guys!
