News From Tualatin

News From Tualatin

It's late March, and we are not surprised to wake up on a Spring day and be greeted by a hearty snowstorm.  Ah, Springtime in Colorado!

But wait!  This is Tualatin, Oregon!  Snow in March here is a big novelty, and set a record for the date and amount - as little as it was by Ricky Mountain standards, it was the most and latest snow for over fifty years!

We had fun doing errands at Morgan's house today.  Why is that fun, but doing errands of our own is kinda like work?

Pointing first at me, then at a floor register in the dining room, Ben said to me today:
"Okay, Pum, here's the deal.  These big square pipes come out of the furnace in the basement and they come up right here and get heat into the house."
He's 2 1/2 years old.

It took about two seconds for Ben to overcome any shyness resulting from months of our abscence when we came back to Oregon this time.  I don't remember meeting a more verbal little kid ... he loves telling us about everything, and if we're busy with something else, he'll have a nice chat with himself.  Morgan says the other night when he was in bed, but still awake, she could hear him saying to himself "There's no reason to feel lonely; Momma's in her room right next door."

Ben had a nice "slumber party" at our place earlier this week.  He enjoys staying here, and we really like having him.  There's no special treatment or special priviliges given when he stays here, of course.  That's our story and we're stickin' to it.

Morgan & Smidgen are doing great, and still on the glidepath for an early to mid-May delivery.  Ben talks about the baby, and has a little propaganda book about being a big brother, but I'm sure he doesn't really get it yet.  On the other hand, maybe he does.

The Tulip Festival is on again, so in the next week or so, we expect to head there with Morgan and Ben.  Aaron, too, if we can go on a weekend.

More later!  Love all you guys!
