Who names these things?
Here’s a quick test:
1) Activa A) Women’s Sportswear
2) Aptira B) An IBM desktop computer
3) Aptura C) Supplier of medical supplies and equipment
4) Acura D) Dannon yoghurt
5) Aptica E) A nonsense word I made up
6) Aptea F) LCD lighting manufacturer
7) Aptiva G) Administrative Professionals’ Employee Association
8) Activia H) A luxury car
9) Apria I) Business technology consultants
Companies spend millions, if not billions every year to create and market these goofy names. Have they spent their money wisely? These are just the “A’s” off the top of my head. How you doing on my test?
